Youth Workshop: "Canine Companions"
From the massive mastiff to the mini maltese, dogs of all sizes and breeds have been a part of our lives for thousands upon thousands of years.
Come to our Youth Workshop: Canine Companions and discover how these animals became our best friends and why some people prefer the poodle while others are crazy for Catahoulas. Even better, unlock the secret to how dog lovers have found the best of both worlds with an unbeatable mixture of two, three or even four different breeds! Become the expert in your family on matching people up with their perfect pooch after exploring dog behaviour, characteristics, training and unearthing the histories of all sorts of breeds.
*Please note that participants in the Canine Companions workshop will not be able to interact with shelter dogs. The participants will have the chance to interact with specially selected and temperament tested dogs belonging to guest speakers and workshop staff.
