New farm animal transport regulations need your input
Do you think 52 hours on a truck without rest or water is too long? While this is currently the reality for many animals in Canada, new regulations for transporting farm animals could mean positive change for 100 million animals across B.C. The Government of Canada released draft regulations for review and are asking for feedback. Our local farm animals depend on your voice!
You might know bison as roaming vast plains in the wild, but did you know that these animals are also farmed in Canada? The National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) Codes of Practice outline acceptable standards of care for farmed animals in Canada. The draft code for bison has been released! Add your voice in the official comment period.
