Several puppies rescued from a breeding facility in Chilliwack last month are growing stronger every day, thriving in BC SPCA foster care. Included in the rescue were two Chihuahua puppies who were only a day old! The tiny puppies are now five weeks old and cautiously learning to walk, eat solid food and play with their mom, who is always nearby, watching protectively.

Thor, a two-year-old male finch, needs a helping hand in finding a forever home. Beautiful and chatty, Thor is social with humans, but he had some issues with the other finches is his last home, eventually becoming too aggressive with them. Therefore, Thor would do best in a home on his own, or at least housed separately from other feathered friends. Do you know of a home suitable for Thor?
Tiko, a 14-year-old senior Lhasa Apso, was surrendered to the BC SPCA in the summer of 2017. Shy and fearful, it was clear that he needed to find a forever home that was calm and quiet. It took Tiko a while to warm up to people, so he also needed to find a guardian who could be very patient with him. Luckily, it didn’t take long at all for Tiko to find the right match.
