Some e-Kids readers may recognize Erasmus, whose guardian is a BC SPCA humane educator. Not only has this amazing bunny taken part in past school presentations, he also became a star of this year’s online Summer Sessions. If you haven’t met Erasmus yet, you still have a chance! He’ll be hopping by so you can say a virtual hi during the Sunday Pet Care Series.

Here’s a little bit of what Erasmus’ guardian, Lanie, had to say about first finding him on the BC SPCA adoption webpage:

“I first saw Erasmus last year when working as a camp counsellor at a BC SPCA camp. I was looking through the society’s adoptable animals with the kids during snack break, and knew he was the bunny for me!”

Read Erasmus’ full adoption story to find out how far Lanie went to meet him, why he now makes a great mini humane educator, and just how fast he can solve a puzzle feeder.

Caeser is a three-year-old Great Dane up for adoption through the Victoria SPCA.

Caeser recently had knee surgery so needs to take it easy and find a family local to the Victoria area where he is attending physiotherapy appointments. He’s lived with kids before and, just like a lot of kids, he loves stuffed animals! He needs a loving home with a gentle family who can help him through his healing as well as some separation anxiety.

When Caeser finds the right adoption match, we know that he and his new family will be very happy together!

Please note that Caeser was available for adoption when this article was written and may have found his forever home since then. See all animals up for adoption at spca.bc.ca/adopt.

Whether you’re doing school in the classroom or at home this year, everyone can have fun with our Learn at Home activities.

Remember the BC SPCA Learn at Home webpage for animal-themed crafts, recipes, nature activities and more. Want to just chill out and do some colouring or a word search? We’ve got you covered there, too!

We’ll be regularly adding new activities to the webpage, as well as on our BC SPCA Learn at Home Facebook group that parents are invited to join.
