Wear your cat ears to help B.C.’s felines

Got ears? June is Cat Awareness Month in Canada and around the province, animal lovers are proudly sporting ears – cat ear headbands – in support of our feline friends and to raise awareness of B.C.’s cat overpopulation crisis. Everyone is encouraged to purchase a pair and share photos wearing them on social media this week to help all cats find a loving home.

Take a walk in the park and help animals. Step away from the seals: beaches are busy for animals, too

The sun is shining and British Columbia’s many beaches are getting busy – for humans and animals, including harbour seals. Female seals come ashore to give birth, nurse and protect their young through the summer months; humans and their pets should stay away from the baby seals, and only alert local wildlife experts if the seal pup appears obviously injured, distressed or non-responsive.
