Tickled pink to help Purple Martins

Every BC SPCA Wild ARC patient that gets a second chance to live life in the wild is special. However, it’s particularly exciting when we can help a species like the Purple Martin whose population is “at risk”. This summer we admitted several of these beautiful birds, and helped make sure they returned strong and healthy to their wild homes.

The issue of urban deer conflict in the province is complex and needs a balanced and evidence-based approach that is in the best interests of local residents and the deer. Each community should be working towards long-term solutions to achieve the goals of compassionate conservation for BC’s deer.

Last call for Wildlife Photo Contest

The 6^th annual Wildlife-In-Focus Photography Contest deadline is September 30 – so submit your favourite images of B.C.’s wildlife before it's too late! The judges are eagerly waiting to view the amazing photo submissions. Proceeds from this fundraiser directly benefit animals in the care of the BC SPCA Wild ARC.
