Help prevent animal abuse today

It is cruel and needless, but animal abuse happens every day throughout British Columbia. The good news is, you can help. Animal Abuse Prevention Day is Thursday, April 23, a day recognized by the provincial government to encourage more humane communities and taking action to help end the cycle of violence, like reporting animal neglect and cruelty to the BC SPCA.

Kindness counts for BC SPCA volunteers

Nearly 4,000 volunteers throughout B.C. help the BC SPCA carry out its life-saving work to help the province’s most vulnerable animals. As the BC SPCA celebrates National Volunteer Week, several volunteers explain ‘How Kindness Counts’ in their volunteer positions with the society, showcasing how even one small act of kindness can make a difference for farm, companion and wild animals.
