Amelia was surrendered to the BC SPCA Vancouver Branch earlier this year because she was deaf. Having purchased her online from Craigslist, her former owners did not know the husky-German shepherd puppy was deaf, and didn’t feel equipped to handle a deaf dog. But her uniqueness only attracted her to Marisa Nielsen and fiancé Desmond Kumar, who both know sign language.

Kitty (I.D. #398664) came into the care of the BC SPCA at the end of March 2016. This four-year-old tabby is a total sweetheart and has been without a forever family of his own for far too long. Often overlooked because he has diabetes, Kitty is otherwise healthy. This friendly and affectionate and will make a wonderful companion for a quiet, loving home.
In 2007, Ella was abandoned in northern B.C. and brought to the BC SPCA where she was cared for and eventually adopted into a new loving, forever family.
