Government funding a huge boost
The BC SPCA was extremely pleased when the B.C. Government announced an additional $5 million to support the society’s eight-year Facilities Development and Services Plan to replace or renovate aging shelters. “We are grateful to the Province of B.C. for their ongoing support of homeless, abused and vulnerable animals,” said Craig Daniell, chief executive officer of the BC SPCA.

Take action against overcrowded cages
In Canada, one in four rabbits raised for meat dies from injury, disease, overheating or poor air quality before even leaving the farm. They need more humane living conditions. Rabbit is not a common meat in B.C. – but their short lives matter. Take NFACC’s survey and tell regulators what rabbits need now!
