Take action for chickens in Canada: Sign the petition!
Earlier this summer Mercy for Animals released an undercover video showing shocking images of chickens being abused. If you want to see real change in the industry, sign petition E-1219 which calls for cameras to be placed in all farms, transport trucks, and slaughter facilities in Canada. Be sure abuse like the Chilliwack chicken case doesn’t go unnoticed again.
In Canada over 21 million egg-laying hens live their lives in cages where they can barely move, so they can’t do the things chickens would normally do. Egg farmers are pushing to make cages better, but animal welfare experts would like to see farmers think outside the cage. Changes are coming and you can be a part of it!
