Trivia Answers

 Answer 1

1. Answer: b.

Do not take your pet with you to a fireworks display! The strange sights, sounds and crowds could make her feel scared or threatened, even if you're there with her. Instead, leave her at home in a room with the doors and windows closed. Give her lots of toys to play with and leave the radio on to help mask any noise from the fireworks. Be sure your pet has identification just in case she gets scared and runs away!

Answer 2

2. Answer: c.

It is never safe to leave your pet in a car on a warm day. Even in the shade with the windows partly down, the temperature in a parked car can quickly reach a level that will seriously harm or even kill your pet.

Answer 3

3. Answer: e.

To help keep your small animals from overheating in warm weather, it’s a great idea to add some ice to his water dish and make sure his habitat is moved to a cooler place away from the window. Do not use blue ice packs as your pet may chew them.

Answer 4

4. Answer: d.

If you see a baby seal, do not approach or touch it in any way! The seal pup’s mother may have left to go feed and plans to return to the same spot, but your presence could discourage her. If the pup does seem truly injured or orphaned, call a wildlife rehabilitation centre to report it – but do not try to approach or rescue the pup yourself.

Answer 5

5. Answer: a.

Cats can have kittens at as young as five months of age! That’s why it’s important to have cats spayed or neutered as soon as possible to prevent litters. There are already too many cats and kittens without homes!
