Thank you to everyone who came out for the 2013 Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause this past weekend!
Along with a walk to celebrate everything that animals mean to us, each event included lots of fun activities, such as agility courses, face painting and plenty
of treats for humans and pets!
Thousands of supporters collected pledges for the animals this year. We're still tallying the numbers, and you'll find the final results, including the announcement of the top youth fundraiser, in the next Bark! magazine!

This month’s featured Happy Ending animal is Magoo
the Coonhound!
Magoo found his forever home after a stay at the Kelowna
SPCA. He is described by his new guardian as “the most loving, sweet, adorable
dog that I have ever met!” Magoo likes to visit the dog park and give lots of
cuddles and kisses. Congratulations on your happy ending, Magoo!
Do you have
a Happy Ending story of your own to tell? We want to hear it! Email us
at kids@spca.bc.ca to let
us know how your pet is doing in his new home. Include a photo or drawing of
you and your companion, too!

September’s Furry Friend of the Month
is P.J.
the Flemish Giant cross rabbit!
P.J. is a big bunny who will make a wonderful companion for
the right family. He is friendly to everyone he meets, including other rabbits,
cats and people. P.J.’s likes include eating greens and playing with toilet paper
rolls. His dislikes include being chased and living outdoors. P.J. is patiently
waiting at the Vancouver shelter for his forever family to come and take him
home.
Please note: P.J. was available for adoption at the time this
article was written, and may have found his forever home since then. Visit the BC
SPCA website to discover more furry friends currently
looking for homes.
