Feeling feline? Cat adoption event coming
Considering adopting a furry family member? Think cats. The BC SPCA is having a 50% off adult cat adoption fee event, presented by Hill's Pet Nutrition, from Nov. 21-30, to help the many felines in shelters throughout B.C. find loving homes. There are tens of thousands of homeless cats in British Columbia, so adopting even one kitty means another can be brought in from the cold.
Wildlife photo contest brings in breathtaking images
The winners of this year’s Wildlife-In-Focus Wildlife Photography contest have been announced and the results are stunning. Judges had a hard time choosing from the more than 650 entries, which feature a wide variety of wild animals across the province, from hummingbirds and seagulls to cougars, mink, and extreme close-ups of a honey bee and a jumping spider.

Adopt me!
Just under five years old, Friskie is a good-looking girl who is extremely affectionate! A solitary soul, she is best suited to a home without any other cats.
Read my happy "tail"
An adult dog when she came into the care of the SPCA, Lexie is faring fabulously with her new family. No longer fearful, she is a happy furball full of personality!
Lest we forget
Millions of animals have been used in times of war, including horses, dogs and carrier pigeons. This Remembrance Day, the BC SPCA honours the people and animals who have risked or lost their lives.
