The BC SPCA
Your support makes a difference to B.C.'s animals in need. Having trouble viewing this email? Read it online in a web browser.
Let’s walk together to fight animal cruelty. In 2013, our cruelty investigations team responded to nearly 8,000 calls. We need your help to give B.C.’s animals the justice, shelter and care they need. Last year, dedicated supporters and animal lovers like you helped us raise nearly $1 million across B.C. Help us cover more ground. Walk with us by registering and fundraising today!
Healthy cats are happy cats
Have you taken your cat to the vet lately? It’s a great time to take your cat, or any cats you care for who spend time outdoors, to a local veterinarian to get checked out and spayed or neutered before they’re six month old. Vets can also check for mites, fleas or worms and provide your pet with permanent ID.
‘Kitten season’ floods shelters with felines
Every spring and summer, BC SPCA branches throughout the province take in thousands of kittens. This year is no exception. Dubbed by animal welfare workers as “kitten season,” this is a crucial time to find loving homes – not only for the kittens, but for the hundreds of wonderful adult cats waiting, too. Learn how you can help.
