July 2011 Issue 101
Poor
Maximus was found homeless and injured in Salmon Arm on February 16,
2011.
A few compassionate members of the community came to the rescue
and took him to the BC SPCA Shuswap Branch.
When he arrived, a
preliminary exam found that he was suffering with a possible broken leg,
a few bite wounds and was understandably exhausted and depressed.
Find out why he earned the nickname "Uncle Maximus"...
Rufus was adopted more than 14 years ago from the original BC SPCA
Richmond Branch before it closed to make way for the new Education &
Adoption Centre.
He was adopted by Elaine and her family when he was only six weeks
old. After enjoying the Happy Endings shared with animal lovers on our
website, they wrote to us with an update on our old friend Rufus.
