Each $1.00 donated to the BC SPCA through this contest will be counted as one (1) vote. You will receive a charitable tax receipt by email for your donation votes.

The twelve animals with the most votes on May 10th at noon will be featured in the 2013 Animal Lovers' Calendar.

Your gift will mean that the BC SPCA will continue to be there for animals in need of rescue, protection, medical treatment and ongoing care until a loving forever home is found.

In appreciation for your support, you will receive a copy of the 2013 calendar by mail this October.

Is he not just the most handsome guy?? Boots came to us via a family friend who had personal problems and had gone to the SPCA to find a friend to help him through his troubles - he found Boots. Our family friend would vacation 4 to 5 months a year and needed a cat sitter so Boots came to stay with us. He was 5 months old and bonded with our cat Katie who was also 5 months old. Being a "scaredy" cat Boots would hide under the bed for the first couple of weeks of his stay and Katie would keep him company there. Eventually, Boots stayed with us permanently and where ever he took his naps Katie always cuddled up beside him. Boots was a shy but very affectionate cat with those he loved. His daily ritual was to have a drink from the tap in the bathroom. Yes! Just like those funny cats you see on YouTube. Once a day he would "yell" at me from the bathroom to come and turn the tap on. Boots passed away last November. He was 14 and a half years old and we miss him so much.
