The twelve animals with the most votes on May 10th at noon will be featured in the 2013 Animal Lovers' Calendar.

Your gift will mean that the BC SPCA will continue to be there for animals in need of rescue, protection, medical treatment and ongoing care until a loving forever home is found.

Critical Care

My 15 year old Shih Tzu has been my constant companion since she was 9 months old. About 4 years ago she was critically ill with pancreatitis and the vet told me she was dying, her liver enzyme levels were through the roof. Libby deserved a chance at life so I took her to the 24 hour critical care unit in Vancouver, BC. It was puzzling that this little dog refused to give up-she would bark at them until they decided to let her roam the hospital ward & hand-feed her chicken. The vets refer to her as the little miracle. She made a slow but miraculous recovery & today she is living proof of the power of love. It just wasn't her time to go & she continues to shower love on everyone she meets.
