Young George came to the BC SPCA in agonizing pain, with a foreign object stuck in his little intestine! His intestine was doing its best to remove it, which caused significant damage. This sweet kitty required emergency surgery to remove the object. Plus, the vet had to remove a good portion of his intestine.
It’s not uncommon for cats who are bored or stressed to develop Pica, which is a condition where they eat things that are not food. Poor George didn’t know better, so with lots of love and playtime, shelter staff are helping the little guy learn what is okay to eat and what is not.
George will need plenty of time to heal from his surgeries while being on a special diet to help him digest food properly. He is a young active kitty who wants nothing more than to be with people. He is very lively and ready to be better so he can play again!
Will you help George recover so he can be the kitty he’s meant to be? Donate today!
Personal updates for George will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for George until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
