Nope, that isn't an open mouth you see.
Bonnie was in an unknown accident which left all of the skin on her jaw ripped off the bone and is left hanging. Without treatment, Bonnies open bone will quickly become infected and is affecting approximately 60-70% of the mandible (lower jaw bone).
Bonnie is a very sweet 4 month old Torbi (Tortoise-Tabby) kitten who came in with a terrible injury. Despite her injury, she loves people and purrs incessantly! She is bonded with her brother orange Tabby Clyde.
Bonnie will need to go right into foster care, special wet food, come in for frequent rechecks and have daily cleaning of wound area to prevent infection.
She is such a sweet girl! she will be adopted easily with her brother. She came from a remote community and the folks that surrendered her did not know if it was from a coyote or a car hitting her.
Personal updates for Bonnie will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, vaccinations, regular health check, and daily care for Bonnie until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
