Sydney arrived heavily pregnant at intake and shortly gave birth to two stillborn kittens, with three still inside of her. Labour wasn't progressing so it was determined she required an emergency c-section to have the rest of the kittens as well as stop internal bleeding.
The other three kittens survived! Not only that, but Sydney adopted three newborn orphan tabby kittens that were also at the shelter.
Too add to her ordeal, Sydney had an abscess on her left hind paw at intake which needed to be lanced to relieve the swelling and express the pus. She was placed on antibiotics.
Sydney is a friendly, sociable, and outgoing cat. She is so friendly and perks up as soon as someone comes near her kennel, watching to see if they will come to say hi.
Sydney has been through a lot, losing two kittens and surviving a harrowing surgery. Please donate to her surgery and recovery today to show her you care.
Personal updates for Sydney (and her adorable babies) will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, vaccinations, regular health check, and daily care for Sydney until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
