The horrific attack didn’t kill him, but the infection from the bite wounds covering his little body almost did.
Nacho was found huddled and terrified in a good Samaritan’s back yard. That person did what compassionate people like yourself would do – they took Nacho to the BC SPCA to receive the care he needed.
“We were in shock, not just with the number of wounds on Nacho, but with their depth. Whatever animal attacked him, it was very much trying to kill him,” shares Christy King, branch manager at the East Kootenay BC SPCA.
The bite punctures were so deep that they caused nerve damage leaving Nacho struggling to walk.
Now Nacho has a chance at a happy ending, but he needs your help. Your loving generosity will provide surgery to clean his wounds, antibiotics, pain control, physical therapy so he can walk again, and two months of receiving some much needed spoiling.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, regular health check, and daily care for Nacho until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
