A beautiful Cooper’s Hawk was recently brought into Wild ARC after hitting a window. The hawk hit a window while trying to catch prey and suffered severe head trauma upon impact. He was found on a deck near a window, helplessly lying on his back.
When first triaged by our rehab staff, the hawk could not stand on his own. He had bruising on his ears and eyelids and had suffered head and spinal trauma from the blunt force of hitting the window at such a fast speed.
The hawk seems to have recovered from the head trauma from hitting the window, but will need to have his flight evaluated in a large enclosure to make sure he is ready to survive upon return to the wild.
Please consider making a donation to help us care for and rehabilitate this beautiful animal so he can be released back to where he belongs!
