Young Lou is a four month old kitten who has a mysterious leg injury! She was examined by a vet who discovered she likely had an older fracture that did not heal properly, causing the bones in her leg to grow abnormally. Surgery to repair the leg isn’t an option as it would be a very complicated procedure with a high risk of failure, likely resulting in an amputation either way later on. She will go in for amputation soon to give her the best chance at life.
Lou is such a sweetheart and so full of life, she just has had a bad start with her injury! She came into our care far too young to have this kind of surgery so we’ve been managing her pain with medication until she’s able to go in. After some time with careful monitoring to make sure she’s healing properly, she will be able to go in for her spay surgery too.
This cutie is SO incredibly deserving of a pain free life! Since she is so young we are confident she will adjust to life on 3 legs easily. Will you help Lou get through this tough time by donating to her care?
Personal updates for Lou will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Lou until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
