Five month old Gigi arrived with a very painful injury! We suspect this poor girl was hit by a car, but we can’t be sure. Gigi was examined by a vet, who discovered she has a fractured right hind femur. We really don’t know how long she’s been suffering with this debilitating injury. Amputation was considered, but fortunately the vet was able to perform a specialized surgery to insert plating in Gigi’s little leg to keep it stable. Looks like she’ll be able to keep all four legs!
Gigi had been living outside and was never properly cared for. She came to us on the skinny side -- and absolutely covered in fleas! It has not been an easy life for Gigi so far, but thankfully she understands that the branch staff are here to help her. Her flea problem is being treated and she’s getting a regular diet of tasty food.
Gigi is the sweetest little kitten who is so incredibly affectionate. She loves to be petted and will start purring immediately. She’s also always eager for a lap to snuggle on.
Gigi always wants to play and be active, but is currently limited to monitored cage rest while she heals from her surgery. This adorable kitten is a total darling who deserves a safe indoor home with a doting furever family who will take care of her and show her the love she needs!
Will you help Gigi by donating to her surgery costs and ongoing care?
Personal updates for Gigi will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, vaccinations, regular health check, and daily care for Gigi until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
