Little Yoko is in rough shape! We think this young cat was likely hit by a car, because she was brought in with a painful broken jaw. Thank goodness a kind and caring good Samaritan noticed Yoko’s injury and brought her in to get the help she needs. Yoko’s previous owners seem to have abandoned her, so it’s wonderful she was discovered and is now safe.
Yoko will need surgery to repair her jaw and keep it stable and in place. After her surgery she will be on monitored rest for about 6 weeks’ time and will need to wear a cone to protect her face while her jaw heals. She’s on a special soft diet for a while too, as it is sore for her to eat.
Don’t let that grumpy face fool you! Yoko is quite friendly and inquisitive, even though she must be very uncomfortable. Yoko will be so happy to be pain free, and will make such a lovely companion when she is healed from her surgery.
Will you help sweet Yoko by donating to her care?
Personal updates for Yoko will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, vaccinations, regular health check, and daily care for Yoko until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
