Misty had a bad fall and came into our care with some painful broken bones! This two-year-old girl has a broken foot and a broken toe after what appears to be a horrifying fall from a parkade building. Animal control discovered the sweet pup and noticed she was unable to put any weight on her injured leg. Thank goodness it wasn’t any worse and the officer was able to rush her in to get the help she needs.
Staff worked quickly to put Misty’s leg in a splint to stabilize the bones. Plus, they gave her medication to help with the pain. Misty’s vet is hopeful that the injuries will heal now that the bones are in place, but there is a chance she may need further treatment.
Once this friendly gal is healed from the painful fractures, Misty will still need her vaccinations and a spay surgery. She’s been such a trooper through the whole ordeal and is so incredibly eager to be able to walk on her own again!
Misty has so much life left ahead of her, and she deserves to be with a loving family who would never let anything bad happen to her again. Will you help Misty by donating to her care?
Personal updates for Misty will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, vaccinations, regular health check, and daily care for Misty until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
