What is Million Acts of Kindness?

If one act of kindness can change the life of an animal forever, can you imagine what one million acts will do?

In 2015 the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals celebrates 120 years of serving and protecting animals. To mark this special anniversary, the BC SPCA is urging all animal lovers to join with us to carry out a million acts of kindness for companion, farm and wild animals throughout 2015.

Each week we’ll post a featured act of kindness take action and help spread the word by sharing your acts with friends and family. Our featured acts are easy steps that anyone can do to make a difference, regardless of age or if you currently have a pet or not.

Your participation can save animal lives!

Each year BC SPCA supporters help us save tens of thousands of animal lives through emergency rescue of injured and homeless animals, animal cruelty investigations, medical treatment, sheltering and adoption, wildlife rehabilitation, advocacy initiatives, youth programming and cruelty prevention programs.

Your participation in the Million Acts movement in 2015 can save even more lives. Each time you carry out one of our featured acts or post one of your own you are making your community a safer and more humane place for animals.

By sharing the campaign with your own network of contacts you multiply the life-saving actions you are taking. Thank you for being an animal champion and spreading your contagious kindness!
